A Rooftop Romance: Alisha & Josh's Elegant Wedding at The Skyline, San Antonio

From the moment Alisha’s dad teared up during their first look, to Josh’s emotional reaction at the altar, this wedding was filled with moments that tugged at the heartstrings and left everyone smiling from ear to ear.

They are the kind of couple who light up a room—not with extravagance, but with genuine kindness, warmth, and an easy love that’s impossible not to admire. They met through Instagram, and what started as a virtual connection quickly became something real, grounded, and beautifully full of heart.

Alisha is an aspiring digital marketer with a gift for creativity and connection, and Josh, a contractor with his own personalized magnet business, is humble, steady, and deeply devoted. Together, they are one of the most down-to-earth couples I’ve ever met—always going out of their way to make others feel safe, happy, and seen.

Their wedding on July 20, 2025, was held at The Skyline, a stunning rooftop venue in San Antonio with sweeping 360-degree views of downtown. With 150 of their closest friends and family, they brought their vision to life: a day that was simple, elegant, and full of joy.

They chose a timeless black-and-white color palette that felt clean yet romantic. To bring in softness and sophistication, we used delicate draping throughout the space. Alisha also had a clear floral vision and wanted the space to be filled with beautiful calla lilies, and that’s exactly what we did. The elegant white blooms added a sculptural grace to the décor, perfectly complementing the minimal tablescapes and romantic ambiance.

One of the most moving parts of the day was Alisha’s first look with her parents. Her dad’s tears started before he even opened his eyes, and when the moment ended, he turned to me and said, “I will never forget this.” Neither will I.

And Josh? A true treasure. When Alisha began her walk down the aisle, he was overwhelmed with joyful tears. His love for her radiated as he embraced her father, setting the tone for a ceremony filled with love and sincerity. It was delivered in Spanish, honoring family and culture, and ended with cheers as they were pronounced husband and wife.

The reception kicked off with a grand elevator entrance and a beautiful first dance. While they shared a touching vow segment during the reception, one of the most intimate moments came after the ceremony—when Alisha and Josh privately exchanged their full personal vows. Away from the crowd, they took a quiet moment together to speak from the heart, sharing promises and reflections that were just for each other. It was deeply moving and perfectly them.

Their final exit—surrounded by streamers and the cheers of their favorite people—was the perfect celebration of everything the day represented.

And while a few unexpected shifts in the timeline came our way (as weddings often do), I made it my mission as their planner to handle every curveball with calm professionalism, compassion, and flexibility—ensuring the couple could stay focused on what mattered most: soaking in every moment.
